In the world of luxury real estate, no expense is spared. This rings true for the seventh floor of the Oasis building, a space meticulously transformed into a singular luxury home. The owner, who purchased the entire floor in 2017, invested heavily in refurbishment.
A Unique High-end Vision
The owner’s vision was to create a unique, high-end luxury apartment that would stand out. They commissioned the renowned interior designer Michala Kodish of Galvanize Design to achieve this. Kodish, known for her work in glamorous nightclub fit-outs in the UK, was tasked with transforming the typical three-apartment floor into a single opulent dwelling.
The result is a space testament to the owner’s vision and Kodish’s design prowess. The 229 sqm apartment, with its panoramic views overlooking Myers Park, is a haven of comfort. Each detail, from the custom epoxy floors to the solid brass door handles cast from the skin of a stingray, exudes high-end luxury and uniqueness.
Globally Influenced Design Elements
The apartment is a global melting pot of design elements. Many items were sourced from Europe, including the custom ceiling panel in the entry lobby, French wallpaper in the study, gold panels in the guest bathroom, and stingray-textured wall panels throughout the apartment. The custom Moooi floral carpet in the master ensuite and hallway and light fixtures from high-end retailers such as ECC, Matisse, and Studio Italia further enhance the apartment’s high-end appeal.
The dining room features a chain curtain portrait of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld custom-made in Spain, and the bar boasts brass details. The kitchen and adjoining butler’s pantry are equipped with Poliform cabinets from Italy, combined with black etched glass countertops and a mix of top-end Liebherr, Electrolux, and Fisher and Paykel appliances.
High-tech Luxury Living
But it’s not just about aesthetics. The apartment is also a high-tech haven. From the drop-down projector, screen, and pop-up television in the master bedroom to the smart system that runs security, air-con, and even the curtains, every aspect of the apartment is automated. LED lights can be programmed to change colours and moods in all the rooms, and cars are parked in the three-car garage by a robot summoned by the driver’s swipe card.
The open-plan living space leads to a north-facing balcony and spa, offering a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning views of Myers Park.
